Mike Johansen

 President and Founder, Mike Johansen spent 25 years in the specialty retail apparel industry. Mr. Johansen held senior management and merchandising positions with The Limited Stores, and U.S. Specialty Retail. In 1984 Mr. Johansen founded T.J. Michael Ladies Clothing Stores based in Kansas City. 

In 1992 Mr. Johansen establisted Specialty Retail Consultants and conducted management consulting and executive search assignments for many well known regional and national retailers. Mr. Johansen has conducted sales consulting and customer service seminars for many of the same companies. Companies that were early clients of Mr. Johansen were Casual Corner, J. Riggings, Eagles Eye, Reebok, Carrol Reed, Disney Stores, Bass Stores, Claire's, Juniper Bank, Laura Ashley, and Tommy Hilfigger.  

In 2000, Mr. Johansen started SPECIALTY RETAIL RECRUITERS, LLC, and has established himself as a reputable, nationally recognized executive recruiter. Mr. Johansen continues to be an active recruiter and manages all client/candidate/SRR relations.
